We went on the bus with Room 3 and 6     to the Star Dome. First we sat in funny seats and watched a movie about stars and planets. Then we looked at some models of planets and space rockets. We even pretended to be astronauts.

THE SUN

                                        

This term we have been learning about space, the stars, planets and the moon. Read the true and false facts we wrote about the sun. Look at our great art work.

Library Time

Every Friday Room 4 go to the Library. We can get a new book to take home to share with our families. We can find interesting books that tell us lots of information. Its fun to read books to ourselves and then to listen to a story.

Mrs Sutherland helps us to issue the books that we are taking home. Sometimes if she is busy Mrs Cundy will help us. We love visiting the library.

KIWI SPORT AFL

   This term we have been learning how to play AFL. The coaches have been coming once a week to teach us skills. We have had a great time practising our throwing and kicking skills.

JUMP ROPE

As part of our fitness activities Room 4 practised their skipping skills. Then we took part in the school Jump Rope morning. It was lots of fun.

MEASURING  LENGTH

This term Room 4 have been practising our measuring skills. We have been learning about length and using all sorts of different objects to measure length. We used blocks to measure the length of some of the objects in our classroom.

ROOM 4 GARDENERS.

As part of our topic studies we planted some bean seeds. First we had to put the soil into a container. Then we pushed the bean seed into the soil. Last of all we watered our seed. We watered them carefully each day and they began to grow. At the end of the term we were allowed to take our beans home. We even planted some daffodil bulbs in the the planter outside Room 4. In the spring we will have some beautiful daffodils.
