HOCKEY

During the term Room 4 has been participating in hockey sessions. We have learnt how to hold the stick the right way, push, stop and hit the ball. We've had a fun time learning some new skills.

GINGERBREAD MEN

As part of our topic studies about Fairy Tales Room 4 children made Gingerbread men. We mixed the sugar, eggs and butter together. Then we sifted the flour and ginger into the mix. We had turns at mixing it altogether and patting it out flat. Then we cut out the shapes and cooked them. When they were cool we iced them and of course we ate them before they ran away.

We even wrote about how we made the Ginger bread men. We had fun and they tasted great.

OUR MUSICIANS


On Wednesday afternoons we go to music with Mr Ramsay. We have a great time playing all the different instruments and making music together.

Room 4 Soccer Stars

Our PE focus for this term is "Having a ball". Last week we participated in a soccer session with the children from Room 2. We had a great time kicking and balancing the ball.

Life Education

During the last week of Term 1 Harold and Anna came to visit Sunnybrae School. They told the  Room 4 children about ways to keep ourselves healthy. We learnt about eating fruit and vegetables and drinking plenty of water. We loved looking at the stars in the night sky and Harolds' photo album. Thanks for coming to visit us Harold !!!!

Kelly Sports

During week 9 Room 4 children participated in Kelly sports. We kicked, threw and caught balls and even scored tries. "Go Room 4".

Cats

The Room 4 artists have been busy again. This time we have been having fun painting and creating cats. We have been thinking about the different textures of fur and the features cats have.

Room 4 Scientists

The Room 4 scientists have been experimenting with mixtures. We found out that some solutions mix, some separate and some react. We also had lots of fun!

Our Buddy Class

Our buddy class this year is Room 13. They are taking part in a Soap Box Derby. They brought their car to show us and some of us even had a ride ! "Good luck for the race Room 13, we hope you win."
