RAIN FOREST EXPRESS

As part of our study on the water cycle we went on a trip to the Waitakere Ranges. We walked about 2kms through the forest to see the Upper Nihotupu Dam where some of the water we use is collected. On the way we saw rivers and waterfalls. We heard lots of birds singing as well. After lunch we went on the Rain Forest Express train. We went through lots of tunnels and over bridges. In the tunnels we saw wetas and beautiful twinkling glow worms. We arrived back at school happy and very tired.

  2. Sounds like a great trip! Did all of you make friends with animals you met in the forest or was it just Richard and his monkey?
